Jess and Jason had a perfect summer day for their MU wedding on campus in Columbia, MO. After their sweet ceremony in the AP Green Chapel behind Memorial Union, these two were happy to wander around campus for portraits. From the historic Jesse Hall columns to Ellis Library, I’ve never thought a wedding would bring back so many memories of being a student, and traipsing across campus from class to class!
There were so many wonderful, candid moments that happened on Jess and Jason’s big day, and we felt honored to be there to document them all. Congrats to this happy couple!!

Jess and Jason’s wedding was a great example of how creating a day that truly focuses on who you are can transcend every last magazine detail you might want to include in your big day, but really don’t need to. Jess and Jason decided to have their wedding on Mizzou’s campus because that’s where they met. This campus has been such a big part of their lives for the last several years, it made sense to say their “I do’s” here.
After their small intimate ceremony in the campus chapel, they threw a big party at the MU Student Rec Complex. Having a wedding reception at the Rec might seem a bit unconventional, but these two are competitive weight lifters, and it was the perfect place to celebrate tying the knot! They even jumped at the idea to shoot a few portraits in the workout room during the reception!
