Kristin and JJ’s Coopers Ridge spring wedding was held on a beautiful day in late May. This was our first time at this outdoor barn venue in Boonville, MO. We loved exploring the property and downtown Boonville to find unique places for pictures!
Thanks to the talented ladies of Gather & Co. Events, who helped coordinate all of the details at this wedding. From the lawn games to the rustic dinner tablescapes, we loved capturing all of the little moments at this country wedding.

I first met Kristin and JJ for coffee at Shortwave in downtown Columbia to chat about wedding details. It was clear that these two were easy-going folks, and after their farm engagement session in Boonville, I knew their wedding day would be awesome. After preparing for the day in a super cute bridal suite at Coopers Ridge, Kristin and JJ headed to the Saints Peter and Paul Church for the ceremony. These two couldn’t stop smiling throughout the entire ceremony. We loved their idea of a reverse receiving line after the ceremony was over. Kristin and JJ dismissed each pew, letting them have a moment with every guest.
We popped into the historic Hotel Frederick building after the ceremony for a few portraits of Kristin and JJ. This has always been one of my favorite places in Boonville. As soon as you walk in, you can literally feel the history around you. We found some unique architectural backdrops for photos, and then headed to Coopers Ridge for the wedding reception.
Kristin and JJ set up several lawn games behind the reception barn. All of the kids at the wedding loved playing the games and running wild around the property. After enjoying cocktails and appetizers, guests were invited inside for dinner and dancing. The wedding party entertained everyone with some hilarious introduction antics. My personal favorite was the “Dirty Dancing Lift”.
I couldn’t have imagined a more perfect introduction to the Coopers Ridge wedding venue. Thanks to Kristin and JJ for inviting us to document their big day and being so easy to photograph!
