About Us

Meet Katie

Katie is known by her friends as the eternal optimist. She can sometimes be found having a solo dance party in the car while stopped at a light. Katie has lived in eight cities, but would rather be stranded in the middle of a forest than surrounded by buildings.

Katie has an undergraduate degree in Fisheries and Wildlife, and her masters’s degree in Photojournalism. She plays the piano, throws pottery, and once in a while dusts off her sewing machine to attempt a pair of mittens.

Mama to two adventurous boys, and life partner of someone who makes her laugh every single day.

“Katie did an amazing job!”

She was super responsive and she was actively taking photos for the entire day. She did a great job corralling the wedding party and family groups for photos (a monumental task) and we got all of the candid photos we hoped for and then some. Our photos are unique and special!

Meet Max

Max is a music history enthusiast, and in his spare time he can be found buying and selling vintage t-shirts. He would rather spend money on an amazing dinner than a fancy car, and he can tie a bow tie with his eyes closed.

He has been shooting pictures since he could hold a camera, and was named Student Photographer of the Year by the National Press Photographer’s Association.

On a Sunday afternoon, Max can be found simultaneously making an espresso for Katie, prepping dinner, and playing with his two kiddos!

“He knew what he was doing and it allowed me to be almost completely stress-free.”

The best decision of the entire wedding planning process (besides marrying the love of my life) was letting Wildflower Wedding Photography capture my day. Thank you, Max!
